Workforce Health Assessment
With many independent studies showing that productivity, absenteeism and workforce participation are closely linked to the health of an organisation’s workforce, more and more organisations are seeing the benefits of promoting healthier lifestyles in the workplace.
Amongst Australian adults of working age:
- 86% don’t include enough vegetables in their diet
- 60% are insufficiently physically active
- 42% are at short-term risk of alcohol-related harm
- 22% are daily smokers
With studies showing that one third of Australia’s total disease burden is attributable to preventable health risks including smoking, high blood pressure, obesity, physical inactivity and high cholesterol, workforce health assessment is a critical step in tailoring evidence-based health promotion to the needs of your employees.
The ProVax Difference
ProVax’s on-site health assessment service is designed to benchmark the key behavioural and biomedical risk factors affecting the health of your staff and to provide critical guidance for reducing your organisation’s exposure to chronic illnesses that undermine workforce participation and productivity.
Participating staff will be invited to complete a confidential on-line health survey gathering data on diet and nutrition, physical activity, smoking and alcohol consumption.
During a private 10 minute consultation, a ProVax Registered Nurse will measure the following biomedical risk factors:
- Body Mass index (BMI) and waist circumference
- Blood pressure and pulse rate
- Blood glucose
- Total cholesterol
Each participating staff member will receive a confidential, personalised report showing how their results compare with current health authority recommendations, and your organisation will receive a detailed report providing an overall picture of the health of your workforce.
At ProVax, we believe that the health of your workforce is best entrusted to qualified medical and nursing professionals. That’s why our on-site workplace health programs are delivered by experienced Division 1 Registered Nurses.
Our online booking system has the benefit of eliminating long queues, ensuring a speedy and convenient process for your staff.
